Biography

Micaela is currently completing her first year of Articles at Deloitte and is determined to make an impact that matters.
She attended St Catherine’s Convent and matriculated top of her class as the Dux Scholar. Upon completion of matric, she went on to study Accounting at IIEMSA achieving the number 1 spot in her class in her 1st, 2nd, 3rd and honours year. She developed a love for teaching and a passion for helping students to gain an understanding of the accounting subjects. She henceforth completed a Tutoring course at University and achieved top results and became an Accounting tutor in her second year of studies tutoring first year accounting students. This sparked her passion and love for the subjects and tutoring. In her 3rd year she continued her tutoring for the university by becoming an Auditing tutor for the 2nd year students during which she was involved in developing an Ethics Assignment for the undergrad students.
Her love for teaching enabled her to also become a Chess Teacher for high school and primary school students while she was completing her university degree. On top of her chess teaching, university tutoring and her own studies, she also provided private Mathematics and Physical Science tutoring for Grade 9 to 12 learners.
Her passion for learning and helping others to gain a better understanding of the fields has enabled her to make an impact in all that she does. Most recently Micaela was part of the IIEMSA team that made it into the Top 3 finalists for the Ethics Initiative Award of the Ethics Institute South Africa.
She has a sound understanding and love for the accounting, tax and mathematics subjects. She loves time management, planning and exam techniques, all of which is an area of focus where knowledge-sharing is her priority.
